• Who "invented" ZMA? It was developed by Victor Conte (founder of BALCO Laboratories in Burlingame, CA)
• What's so important about ZMA? All three of the compounds in ZMA are important in biological processes within the human body.
• Why do bodybuilders and athletes take ZMA? Strenous excercise and bodybuilding depletes the body of vitamins and minerals through perspiration among other things. As blood sugar rises, so does urination, further increasing the loss of magnesium, zinc, B12, B6, folic acid and many other nutrients. Water is replaced when we drink but not the water-soluble nutrients that were flushed out.
