How does Creatine 6000-ES work?
Creatine, as found in Creatine 6000-ES, is a contributing factor to the primary energy source used for muscle contraction. In the muscle fiber, creatine exists in two different forms: as free creatine and as creatine phosphate. This latter form of creatine makes up two thirds of the total creatine supply. When your muscles contract, the initial fuel for this movement is a compound called ATP (adenosine triphosphate). ATP provides its energy by releasing one of its phosphate molecules. It then becomes a different compound called ADP (adenosine diphosphate).
Unfortunately, ATP stores are limited. So for muscle contraction to continue, more ATP must be produced. Creatine phosphate is used for its phosphate molecule, which it gives to ADP, thereby recreating ATP. This ATP can then be used again as fuel for more muscle contraction.
